The Engineer, Procure & Construct – EPC Contractor for Goldeneye, Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd – FWEL contracted Seward Wyon Ltd for the provision of engineering services to co-ordinate all technical aspects of the Heavy Lift & Transport contract awarded to Mammoet UK Ltd.

These services commenced with a full time assignment during the module design and planning stage from September 2002 to January 2003 at the FWEL Glasgow Operations Centre.

Engineering Services continued from February to May 2003 with the delivery and installation operations of the 236Te Slug Catcher vessel fabricated at DSF Ltd Derby. Shipment from Ellesemere Port to Peterhead Port using the Mersey Mammoth crane barge, required the provision of sea fastening. This was supplied and installed by Seward Wyon Ltd in accordance with the design prepared by Mammoet UK.

Seward Wyon Ltd services from June to October 2003 involved final planning, document approval and site supervision for the delivery and installation of 19 process modules upto 32m L x 7m W x 12,7m H x 153Te. These were built by Fabricom Contracting Ltd and shipped by Mammoet UK from the Port of Immingham on the barge AMT Wayfarer.

Pre – assembled module dimensions being maximised in line with the 8-mile road transport route between the ASCO South Base at Peterhead Port and the St. Fergus Gas Terminal. The route upgrading works involved temporary strengthening of one stone arch bridge by Bear Scotland Ltd in May, temporary raising of HV overhead power lines by Scottish & Southern Energy Ltd and the permanent underground re-routing of telephone cables by BT. Module installations by Mammoet UK were carried out using the Demag PC4200 Crane Super Lift crane.
